You Have Never Been Unloved–A Monday’s Moment Clip

You have been unwise, unkind, and unworthy, but you have never been unloved.

Feeling loved by God when I know I don’t deserve it is the hardest part of faith that I embrace.

It seems this concept doesn’t connect to many people’s reality as followers of Christ.

Some I counsel carry a blanket of shame and unworthiness over their shoulders and don’t know how to let Jesus remove it.

Yet once you have experienced the grace that flows from the Father’s heart, it replaces the blanket of unworthiness as a warm mantle about your shoulders.

What is your most cherished memory of being loved by God?

In Him together, Susan Gaddis

Good one. When I have felt his presence real on my body, I feel more loved. Sometimes the theology starts to feel right, but distant. Sometimes more than a right answer, you just need a hug.

when my heart was breaking and my chest hurt i was on the treadmill praying for the lord to comfort me some how ,crying thinking about my dads ashes that were not let go of by my brother to be buried with my mom ,and it had been 2 months i thought how can the lord love me when i have such bad feelings for my brother The phone rang at that moment it was the funeral director who was 3,000 miles away said i just called to let you know i just recieved your dads ashes so we can bury your parents now ….. i couldnt even talk i was still crying but knowing that the lord loved me and heard my cries to comfort me at that very moment in time with a voice on the other end of the phone saying hope this wasnt a bad time to call……….. well the lords mercy ,love, forgiveness was shown to me when i was at my lowest .

I often feel that way, Lilly. I can remember a time when I lived in LA (remember those days!) and I just needed a hug from God. And he showed up and wrapped me in a blanket of love. It was so real I’ve never forgotten the experience.

Cindy, what an encouraging story of God’s timing and comfort. Thank you for sharing out of your grief. I know it must be hard to relive those difficult times, but a joy to remember his comfort from such an unexpected source.

Your welcome, Linda. I needed the reminder too.
